Srixon Z785 Driver Review

Srixon Won The Driver Race. It feels more like there have been a few companies competing over the drivers’ race in recent years. There are many drivers in the marketplace, but only a few companies dominate the buzz, tour sales, and bags of golfers. Srixon wanted the title of big dog. They had to first win over their tour pros (which they did), and then they turned their attention towards the regular golfer market. You could have a Z785 driver as your new driver. There are lots of bold claims on the Srixon website about their driver. Will they be able to show real-world performance or bold claims? Read on to learn… Srixon has no fear of taking on any other driver on the market. The Rogue is faster and they claim that the Rogue can be straighter than an MS3. These are bold claims that they share on their website as they describe the performance of the new Z785 driver. Their head to head testing lead them to proclaim they have a driver that can become a leader in the industry. Their new TI51AF Cup Face design and carbon composite crown are the key ingredients. They use lighter materials to allow better CG manipulation, and more energy transfer. These are bold claims. Does the Srixon Z785Driver actually live upto the hype?

Srixon Z785 drivers are a very nice combo. ProjectX HZRDUS Schwarz Hand Crafted shaft is amazing. This shaft has been a favourite of mine since the beginning, as I can be seen in my review. It’s a very nice package, which is all black from the head down to the grip. They have kept the classic look of this package with just a touch of red and chrome. The carbon was barely visible. It’s easy to see how your ball impacts after each drive with the black face. The bold red headcover looks really sharp in the bag too. This driver is certainly a contender based on his looks.

Srixon Z785 Driver had to convert me. Can it do all it claims to? Srixon may just have achieved it. This driver is amazing. This driver is so smooth and easy to use. Srixon created a multi-material sound that is very enjoyable. But not so muted it seems dead. It makes a huge impact and feels very hot, without sounding too loud. Strong yet majestic, the launch was impressive. I was very pleased with the fast launch and smooth flight. Drive after drive looked like “pro” drives. Pros see a flight differently than amateurs. Regular golfers hit either a low, spinny ball with a desire to exploit roll. For incredible carry and roll, pros launch the ball higher using low spin. That’s what I experienced with my Srixon Z785.

Srixon Z785 Driver is a fantastic combination of sound, appearances and flight. What really makes the difference is length and dispersion. The most important factor in driver success is length and dispersion. These features are also available in the Srixon Z785 There were many drives that I took over three bills and they all went perfectly straight. Off-center hits didn’t get as far but they were definitely in play, and they also lasted a lot of time. You can get a lot of distance with this driver by using a low spin. I have been able to raise my swing speed some too, but this combo just worked for me.

Review: Srixon Z785 driver looks and tour profile:

In order to cater for a particular brand’s design vision or to target a specific type of golfer, smaller drivers are usually used. Smaller heads usually suit the eye of tour and better players who don’t like wide, stretched heads that are ultimately forgiving.

Srixon wants to be both a tour and player brand. So naturally, Z785s head isn’t as wide from front to back as the rest of these drivers. For us it sits really well at address, with a neutral face angle (not closed or open), and a simple look. Some golfers may prefer it, and we’ll even go so far as to suggest that.

ClubTest 2020 saw us test and review 28 drivers in order to help you choose the best one. The results below are for the Srixon Z785 Driver.

Price: $500 / BUY NOW Lofts: 9.5@, 10.5@ Our take: The Z785’s Tour profile is built for players seeking low spin and a flatter launch. Face cup and lightweight carbon composite crown carry over from the Z585, but with an adjustable sleeve. You can adjust loft and swing weight in this model.

ClubTester’s 3-hdcp take on the driver: “One of my favorite drivers. He launches from low and can go for days.

It’s a cannon.” Robot’s take: A ball speed winner for all swing speeds.
