Aldi Coffee Pods

Aldi Coffee Pods (Price, Types, Quality, Roasts, Taste + More)

Many people find coffee to be the best way to start the day. With the introduction of pods of coffee, it is now easier and more efficient than ever. There are many choices for espresso or instant coffee thanks to Keurig’s innovative machines.

Aldi supermarkets have a reputation for offering food and beverages at steeply reduced prices. They also include coffee pods. Let’s look at the Aldi coffee pod collection.

  • Aldi Coffee Pods In 2022
  • Aldi offers coffee pods in their Barissimo line, which also includes higher-end products. Decaf as well regular, lighter roasts can be found in the pods. The price per 12 boxes is $3.55.

What Kind Of Coffee Pods Does Aldi Sell?

Aldi sells six different coffee cups as part of their Everyday line, all of which come labeled as part of the Barissimo coffee collection. Note that Aldi calls their pods “cups”; I will use the two terms interchangeably.

These flavors are available at any hour of the day, year round:

Barissimo Donut Store Breakfast Blend, 12 ct.

Barissimo Caramel or French Vanilla Cappuccino Cups, 12 ct.

Barissimo Decaf Breakfast Blend or Donut Store Espresso Cups, 12ct.

Barissimo Fair Trade Colombian Coffee Cups, 12 ct.

Barissimo French, or Blonde Roast Coffee Cups – 12 ct.

Barissimo French Vanilla or Hazelnut Coffee Cups, 12 ct.

Aldi often releases special flavors as part their Aldi Finds assortment. For example, in the winter months, you might see a Peppermint Mocha.

A gift set of twelve chocolates featuring romantic themes was released by the company around Valentine’s Day in one year.

Pumpkin Spice is always the focus of Fall, so Aldi has many variations on this flavor.

The best way to know what’s coming to your store as an Aldi Find is to keep an eye out for their print ad, which comes in the mail, check out their digital ad via their website, or look at the Upcoming Aldi Finds tab on their mobile app.

    Are Aldi Coffee Pods Cheap?

One of the things I appreciate about Aldi is how consistent they are with their pricing. When it comes to items like their coffee cups, all of which come boxed in packs of 12, no matter the flavor or coffee type, the Everyday cups remain $3.55.

Walmart sells coffee pods that they make under the Great Value brand. They sell 12-packs for $3.92. However, their selection is greater with over 15-20 varieties.

Wegmans also sells their own store label coffee pods, for just a few cents more than Walmart, at $3.99 per 12-count. Wegmans offers a wide variety of coffee pods. They have over 20 varieties, with multiple roasts and flavors, as well as an organic one (for $5.99).

Aldi coffee pods cost less than the competition, at most 37 cents.

However, there are likely to be more options at other grocery stores. I haven’t included the names brands such as Dunkin’ ($7.99 each 10) or Starbucks ($8.49 (10), McDonald’s ($7.49 10), etc.

  • To really show how affordable Aldi’s pods truly are, take a look at your average Starbucks coffee order – $5 $5? More? One coffee. You can buy the pods for only 30c each.

Aldi Coffee Pods – What Are They Like?

Aldi coffee has earned some rave reviews from critics around the Internet, but unfortunately, no one has mentioned any of their Everyday coffee cups.

Although I do not want to make an unjust conclusion, it is likely that there are no great things about the flavor.

You probably bought them because they are convenient or affordable. You’re fine with that! Sometimes, all it takes is one cup of cheap coffee to keep you going during busy mornings.

Although I have not tried the seasonal coffee pods yet, My favorite coffee was the peppermint mocha.

I’m not even much of a fan of hot coffee, but the bold peppermint and not-to-sweet chocolate flavors were divine and very luxurious.

  • Aldi had its peppermint mocha cups next to Starbucks Kcups, in exact the same flavor.
  • Aldi sells hot cocoa and milk cups. The dark chocolate pods were good, but nothing spectacular.

  • The regular Everyday pods may be considered acceptable, but the Aldi Finds flavored pods might be better and more enjoyable.
  • What Coffee Machines Are Aldi Coffee Pods Compatible With?

Let’s look closer at popular instant or pod-ready espresso machines and find out if Aldi coffee cups can be used with these machines.

Aldi Coffee Bean Pods Are Compatible with Keurig Machines

Aldi coffee pots will work in Keurig. These are the machines Aldi’s pods were designed for and will work with any model, as well as the Minis.

Are Aldi Coffee Pods Compatible With Nespresso Machines?

Aldi’s coffee pods for Everyday aren’t compatible with Nespresso machines. Nespresso machines are designed to be used at home. Nespresso is owned by the Nestle company, and while their machines are popular in Europe, they haven’t quite caught on as much Stateside.

Aldi’s Everyday espresso pods don’t have the correct type of ground to use in Nespresso machines.

While the Everyday pods don’t fit in Nespresso machines, Aldi did release coffee capsules in the U.S. that were made for them, as part of their Specially Selected label. Aldi Finds are available in many flavors and retail for $3.49 each.

Reddit commenters noted that it was difficult to find them.

Nespresso machines being more common abroad means that European Aldi stores stock espresso pods under their Everyday lines. These are available under the Alcafe brand.

Aldi Coffee pods compatible with K-Fee Machines

Aldi Coffee pods do not fit in with Kfee machines. The Starbucks Verismo pods are compatible with K-fee machines.

Are Aldi Coffee Pods Compatible With Tassimo Machines?

Aldi coffee pods cannot be used with Tassimo machines. The machine requires a barcode to indicate how much water, how long, and at what temperature.

Aldi’s Everyday Coffee cups will only work with Keurig coffee pots, as can be seen. Keurigs make the best single-cup machines, and this makes sense.

American people have not yet developed enough love for home espresso machines to support all the available pods.

Aldi coffee pods are now available. You can also view our articles about Aldi bread and Aldi almondmilk.

  • Conclusion
  • Aldi coffee pods comes in six inexpensive Everyday varieties, with specialty flavors seasonally as part of the Aldi Finds line. While they are not nearly as acclaimed as some of Aldi’s other coffee products, the pods are serviceable and affordable.

Aldi coffee beans may not work with other machines, except a Keurig.
