How We Tested
My test frisbees for this guide were carried along on an overnight camping/climbing trip to Leavenworth in Washington. I expected that we’d lack cell phone service and would want something to do together to pass the time at camp. Because we had such a lot of fun with these frisbees, everyone on the trip wants one.
In order to add difficulty, we invented some ridiculous games. One of our favorite games was throwing an LED frisbee towards friends. Then, they went out into the woods to tinkle. You can’t do anything in nature better than to have an UFO land on your head while you are doing your thing. The other games include trying to catch the frisbee with your tallboys and then throwing it at a moving one. Another nighttime game was to see how many trees you could dodge. Are these absurd games really the creations of drunken adults? Yep. These were certainly entertaining. Absolutely.
You don’t have to throw a disc in a circle. Use your imagination and come up with some new and exciting ways of throwing it. We tried to throw frisbees over a platform 30 feet high to one another, but this did not work. Instead we had fun playing casual games on Vashon island. A few rocks, beer and two frisbees are enough to keep several adults busy for at most a week.

West Paw Design Zogoflex Zisc Flying Disc
8 months It is a catch toy with a few flaws but it’s the best we’ve ever seen. This is simply because it has outlasted every other toy (by a wide margin) and maintained it’s performance.
West Paw was able to do a fine job of using thick rubber for the outside rim while keeping the centre section flexible and thin. It can resist chewing so that it is able maintain its flying disc performance for quite a long time. It does have some weight so is not suitable for long distance flight, but good enough to be happy.
This is where the real story lies. The test was started 8 months ago.
Even though the center eventually wore down after five months, it still flew perfectly with just a few small holes.
This was an excellent purchase for the money. It is our permanent frisbee.
