Cobra recommends that the F-Max driver has a high launch angle and straight flight as their main characteristics. One tester had a launch angle of 12o. The average launch time for that driver was 15o. A tester with a driver who was 9.5o managed 17o launch (see their data above). All of our testers agreed that it was easy to get the ball in the air, and they didn’t feel like the ball ballooned on them. Cobra managed to create an easy-up club with F-Max’s driver.

To help golfers hit straighter shots, Cobra added draw bias to both the straight neck and offset versions of the F-Max by placing the CG toward the heel of the club. While both designs encourage anti-slice, the offset neck will promote more draw. Our testers used the straight neck version, and all of them had a consistent draw flight. With all three testers, the F-Max driver did everything it could to fight back to a draw when they hit to the right. The draw may not appeal to players who are already able to hit straight shots.
