Costco is undoubtedly a useful hub for all your shopping needs, and with its members-only status, you can choose from a variety of membership tiers that will best suit your needs and your family.
But what about the perks that come with their highest-level Executive Membership–do customers benefit from different hours to shop? I looked further into Executive Memberships and here is what I found out.
Costco has no exclusive time for Executive Members to shop in Costco before the general public since 2022. Although this was once a perk, many stores have stopped offering it since 2015.
Costco: Do executive members have early access to the company?
Gold Star members were able to get to the store an hour before Executive Members. This allowed them to spend more time shopping with far fewer people.
Unfortunately, Costco memberships are no longer allowed in the stores at the opening times.
Some warehouses try to be open 15 minutes earlier than the posted time, particularly if the day is a holiday.
This can differ from location to location, so doors should be locked until they are opened.
What is Costco’s Executive Membership?
Costco offers the Executive Membership, which is the top tier among all membership options.
Members can upgrade to this tier for an extra $60 on top of their annual membership fee, bringing the cost to $120 for an Executive Membership.

Customers who upgrade to the Executive Member get certain perks other members do’t.
The extra shopping time may not be available any longer, but these members still get the following:
Further Savings on Services–Executive Members get additional savings on automobile servicing, insurance, property and mortgage programs as well roadside assistance.
Exclusive offers and Extra Discounts.
This applies to most of your purchases with the exception of alcohol and tobacco. The $60 additional perk will not cover your purchase of this tier. You must spend at least $3,000 annually, which is quite common for household groceries and supplies.

Costco used offer access to its stores to Executive Members one hour sooner than others, but this has changed.
Does Costco Have Business Member Hours?
Costco Business Centers open earlier than Costco Warehouses. They are open Monday-Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM and Saturday from 7 AM to 4 PM.
Does A Costco Executive Membership Expire?
