Taylormade Sim 2 Driver Review

Is it possible to drive straighter and longer in 2021 than you did in 2021? TaylorMade SIM2 may be the right driver for you.

These drivers have made quite a splash in the new year and by the time you’re done reading this review, it’s easy to see why. Some of the most prominent names in golf trust it, including Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy as well as Dustin Johnson and John Rahm.

The SIM 2 became a huge hit in 2020, but the everyday golfer wasn’t able to get it quite yet. It’s now available for purchase by the general public, and is already a huge hit with golfers. We’ll be reviewing the tech and specifications of each driver to help you find the perfect one for you.

So what makes this new driver from TaylorMade so special?

Yes, it’s quite a lot… The SIM driver will be replaced from 2020. This was very popular. TaylorMade said that “first we reshaped and then rebuilt the driver.” The driver was completely rebuilt from scratch in order to offer forgiveness as well as distance. The SIM2 Max Driver features include:

Speed Injected Twist-Face Technology: Toe and heel shots just got a whole lot faster. The twist face technology will allow you to hit off-center hits faster and more straight.

Forged Ring Construction. This is what makes the driver special. Precision-milled aluminum is used to enhance power and forgiveness.

SIM2: 8@, 9@, 10.5@; SIM2 Max: 9@, 10.5@, 12@; SIM2 Max D: 9@, 10.5@, 12@ Our take: Asked to describe the look of SIM2, our testers labeled them “futuristic,” “modern” and “fast.” And who can argue when there’s all that new-age carbon on the sole? While the drivers carry on the original SIM (Shape in Motion) name that excelled in 2020, the company has made a few big changes. One initial skeptical GOLF player noticed these improvements and said, “I tried to hit last year’s original SIM but it feels so much more solid.” Each market pick is carefully selected by the editorial staff. OUR TAKE. When asked to comment on SIM2’s look, testers described them as futuristic, modern and fast. And with all that carbon-based new-age carbon in the sole. TaylorMade SIM2 drivers are still known as “Shape in motion” drivers, although the company has made some significant improvements. The improvements were noticed by a skeptical GOLF tester: “I tried hitting the original SIM last season, but this one feels a millionx more solid. This will prove to be hard to beat.” THE DETAILS. TaylorMade combined proven technology (TwistFace. Inertia Generator. Speed-Injected faces. thru-slots. carbon crowns.) with new designs in order to provide more forgiveness for drivers. To save weight, the sole plate has been replaced with carbon composite. The crown is connected by a blue aluminum back band. The new pieces work together to drive weight back for better performance on mishits. Do you dislike the color blue? Forgiveness

This is a clear indication that SIM2 Max offers more flexibility than SIM2. This is evident from my test.

My mishits are simply better with SIM2 Max because the distance results and fairway stays are much more comparable than solid strikes.

But how is the forgiveness compared to the SIM Max? Although there has been some criticism of the SIM Max, it is still a great deal better than before.

In my SIM Max review, I noted that the driver didn’t seem much more forgiving than the . TaylorMade has certainly closed the gap with the SIM2 Max, which, in a nutshell, I think is one of the most forgiving drivers you can play right now.
