Mint Mobile is currently ranked 5th in our ranking of the most reliable phone carriers. For a company that was established in 2015, this is quite high. So, why is it so well ranked? The main reason we rank it so highly is because of its affordability. Overall, the best Mint Mobile plans have some of the lowest monthly rates, especially when you pay upfront. Mint Mobile plans are more attractive than AT&T Verizon. Secondly, Mint utilizes the T-Mobile network for coverage. T-Mobile, the world’s fastest network and top-rated mobile carrier is a great choice. That gives Mint a leg up, as it can piggyback on the T-Mobile 5G network. Assuming you purchase the right 5G handset, this assumes it. Mint connects to whatever cellular signal LTE, or 5G is stronger in your area. T-Mobile might slow down mint traffic in cases of high congestion. Mint plans may not be as well-rounded as T-Mobile, or offer the same family-friendly features. Mint, despite this, is still an excellent choice for people on a budget. Mint will be challenged by Xfinity Mobile, Google Fi, and Visible. All three carriers have their own claim to fame, like Visible’s singular $40/mo unlimited plan or Fi’s prorated data charges. Mint has a guarantee of a money-back guarantee that you can cancel within seven days, although it isn’t preached too much. Mint guarantees a 100% refund if you cancel your account within 7 days. This includes taxes, fees and taxes.
Mint offers a three month introduction deal. This gets you three months at Mint’s lowest price. The length of your plan can be changed once the initial period has ended. There are three options: six-, twelve-, and 12-month plans. Prices will increase depending on how long you stay.
You should note that once you set up a plan, the length can not be changed. Second, the cost of your plan is paid in full and not at a monthly fee.
This means you’re actually going to be paying $90 for the introductory rate of unlimited data and then $360 if you sign up for 12 months of unlimited data. Although it’s not the easiest payment method, it can still be very affordable over the long-term.

Visible is limited to one plan which offers unlimited data. The good news about Visible’s plan is the unlimited access, Verizon 5G network use, and the $25 monthly price. Normally priced at $40 per mois, you only pay $25 per mo if you add three Visible users to your plan via Party Pay (like a pseudo-family plan). It’s a remarkable deal, however it is worth noting that Mint works under T-Mobile’s Verizon network and not all devices are compatible.
Metro is a great alternative to Mint Mobile. It uses the same T-Mobile infrastructure as Mint Mobile. T-Mobile’s direct subsidiary offers Metro a prepaid service. This carrier has a number of more options, including a 10GB plan starting at $40 per month. Metro’s plans offer a lot more than Mint with benefits like streaming service subscriptions free of charge and the general feeling that they are somewhat more premium.
