Target will accept returns of video games within 30 days. However, you won’t receive full reimbursement.
Instead, the value of the items lowest prices in the last 90 calendar days will be transferred to you as a merchandise voucher that can only been used in-store
Some video games and consoles will have modified return windows (enforced by the manufacturers) which will be noted on the receipt, the website, or similar information sources.
You will also have 30 days to return video games purchased with the Target RedCard. You will now have 60-days to return the video games instead of just 30 days (see below).
How can I return my opened videogames to Target
Target cannot accept returned video games that have been opened.
These can, however, be exchanged in stores for the same titles or for different platforms.
If you buy an accidental game for your PS4 but intended to purchase a PS5 one, and then discover it is not what you wanted, it will allow you to return it to get the PS5 version.
If the original title is no longer in stock, you can exchange it for an identical title. This does not apply for digitally downloaded Target titles.
Can I Return A Digitally Downloaded Game To Target?
You cannot exchange or return digital downloads purchased at Target for any platform.
